Ch. 2 Nightmare

Prying my blurry eyes open I saw a foggy world before me.  I sat myself up on the wreckage of scrap metal from the shredded car.  I slowly got up, almost falling back down again.  I clutched my arm and looked around.  I was bruised and probably broken, I needed help.  I kicked around the metal of the car.  What had happened?

Images flashed through my mind.  I was in the car, watching the world pass by as my mother drove.  Where were we headed?  This time, gory, gruesome images flashed through.  I was on my way to the doctors.  I was getting my brained scanned for something, to tell me if something was wrong with me… or if I was simply…  No!  I shook that thought away.

I looked around for my mom, trying to push panic away. No… nonononono!  Where the hell am I?  I looked around for anything that could help, anything at all.  Getting on edge, I bolted down the street, into the ever so thickening fog.  In the far distance I could just see the outline of something.  I ran as fast as my legs could go.

Finally something came into my sights… it was a gate.  I ran up to up and yanked on it as hard as I could.  Locked.  NO! I yanked on it harder and looked up.  It was waaaay to tall to climb.  I looked to my left and right… it went as far as the fog could let me see.  
"No!" I shouted.  I peered between the bars to see a town.  The stores and roads looked run down… like a ghost town.  Where have I seen this before?

I started having another flash back.  No… this was the place I've seen in my dreams.  What was it called again?  Hill…. Silent Hill?  But wait… why here?  What's so special about this place?

You belong here…

There's that voice again!  I slammed my head on the gate.  "What's wrong with me?!?!"  "Tell me why I'm here right now!"  I bashed my fists on the gate repeatedly.  "Let me in!"  I screamed in frustration, and then looked down at the ground.  I just barely heard footsteps.  I slowly looked up, my face pressed up against the gate.

I saw a figure off in the distance, like the one I saw before.  I started to get a headache, and I fell to my knees.  I grabbed the fence to stop myself from falling down.

Join… Come into the town and you will understand…

"I can't get in there!!!!!" I screamed, frustrated with the stupid voice.  There wasn't a key, there wasn't even a lock!  There was no way I could get inside.  I screamed up at the sky as I felt what seemed like a small earthquake.
"I'll never understand!!!"

My world was suddenly being consumed by darkness as my vision turned dark….
